WESTVIEW

Built in 1977, this home arrived with a quiet confidence and a wealth of original character. From patinated mid-century light fixtures to unexpected moments of wood cladding tucked inside closets, the house told a story worth preserving.

Rather than erasing its past, this renovation focused on retro revitalization—a thoughtful approach to period correction that honors the home’s original spirit while elevating it for modern living. Key elements were carefully retained and recontextualized, allowing the textures, materials, and proportions of the late-1970s architecture to remain legible and celebrated.

Warm wood tones, sculptural forms, and honest materials were layered with contemporary detailing to create spaces that feel both refreshed and familiar. The result is a home that feels timeless rather than trendy—updated, yet unmistakably rooted in 1977. A balance of restraint and renewal, where the past is not replicated, but respectfully carried forward.
