About Zo Taylor
“I design spaces that support the way people actually live—thoughtfully, functionally, and for the long term.”
I believe a home is more than walls and furniture—it is a reflection of how you live, what you value, and the story you are still unfolding. When designed with care, the spaces we inhabit have the ability to support, calm, and inspire everyday life.
My approach to interior design is shaped as much by lived experience as by formal training. I grew up on construction sites—my father framing houses, my mother running residential builds as a general contractor, managing everything from budgets and subcontractors to schedules and execution. From an early age, I learned how homes are actually built, not just how they are styled. That foundation continues to inform my work today, allowing me to design with a deep respect for process, craft, and the realities of construction. On occasion, my mother and I still collaborate closely on projects—a full-circle partnership rooted in shared standards and trust.
Formally trained in Environmental and Industrial Design at the University of Colorado Boulder, I bring a fabrication-informed perspective to each project. I design with both feeling and function in mind—considering how a space is used just as carefully as how it looks. Materials matter. Craft matters. Longevity matters.
I am drawn to quality, natural materials and to collaborating with skilled trades and local artisans—those who bring depth, integrity, and authenticity to the work. These partnerships allow each project to feel layered, personal, and never formulaic.
At the heart of my process is clarity and collaboration. I act as a translator between vision and execution—guiding clients through selections, logistics, and timelines with transparency and care—so the experience feels grounded and approachable.
My goal is not to create perfect interiors, but meaningful ones: homes that feel lived-in, intentional, and deeply reflective of the people who call them their own.
Outside of work, I’m often painting, carving linoleum stamps, or dreaming up furniture pieces I’ll eventually bring to life. I’m endlessly inspired by homes with good bones (and have a well-worn Zillow habit to prove it), and I value time spent cooking nourishing meals, slowing down, and enjoying everyday moments—often with a puppy underfoot. These rhythms inform the way I design: with intention, curiosity, and respect for real life.
